Selecting the right electric transfer cart requires more than simply determining the required load capacity. Different factory layouts, floor conditions and production processes can require completely different material handling solutions.
The first consideration is load capacity. Electric transfer carts can be designed for relatively light industrial loads as well as heavy machinery, steel structures, molds and other oversized components. The platform structure should be engineered according to both the total load and its weight distribution.
The second factor is the travel route. If the transportation route is fixed and repeated frequently, a rail-mounted electric transfer cart can provide stable and efficient movement. If the route changes frequently or the vehicle needs to travel between different workshops, a trackless electric transfer cart may provide greater flexibility.
Floor conditions are also important. Trackless vehicles usually require relatively flat industrial floors, while outdoor operation may require rubber tires, increased ground clearance and suitable protection for electrical components.
Power supply options can include battery power, lithium batteries or other systems depending on working time and operating frequency.
For customized projects, dimensions, steering method, control system, safety sensors and load-handling accessories should all be evaluated before manufacturing.
